In 2021, UNC launched Carolina Across 100, a five-year, pan-University initiative to work with communities in all 100 counties. This program worked with communities across the state to improve youth workforce participation, housing access, and mental health.
Now, the University has proposed another ambitious plan to deepen engagement and partnership across the state. “Fulfilling the Promise: Public Service and Engagement Plan” provides a framework for faculty, staff, students, and community partners to build and strengthen community-engaged teaching, research and service.
During this session, attendees will receive coaching on measuring community-engaged projects, learn how community knowledge has and will continue to shape UNC Research, and discover their role in advancing “”what’s next”” for community-engaged research across the state.
