A Climate of Change at Carolina

University Research Week at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Founded in 2018 by the Office for Undergraduate Research, University Research Week showcases the remarkable research conducted by Carolina’s faculty, staff, and students. University Research Week has become an anticipated week-long celebration at UNC-Chapel Hill and has brought notable keynotes speakers to the university, such as NASA astronaut Zena Cardman and viral immunologist Kizzmekia Corbett — both Carolina alumna.

This year, University Research Week will engage students in research and highlight the incredible impact our researchers and students are making in our state and beyond as the world around them changes.

We are currently soliciting event proposals for inclusion in this year’s celebration from UNC-Chapel Hill departments, units, and affiliated programs. If you’re hosting a University Research Week event and would like it presented on the schedule, please fill out the 2023 events submission form below as soon as you can.

Are you interested in hosting a large event with appeal to a general University audience? For consideration as a University Research Week 2023 featured event during the week of October 23 – 27, please provide as many details as possible in the form above by August 29th. For smaller, more tailored events, make submissions by October 6th for inclusion on the University Research Week website.

For questions regarding University Research Week, please email researchweek@unc.edu.

University Research Week is an annual, campus-wide event sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Office of Undergraduate Research.
