Humans have looked at the night sky for thousands of years to understand the world around us. Take a journey in the Morehead Planetarium Dome to see Latin American skies and listen to stories from indigenous Inca, Maya, and Kaxinawá communities. Learn about ancient astronomy and how indigenous cosmologies and languages can expand scientific understandings of the night sky. A collaboration between the Institute for the Study of the Americas and the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center.
