Steamboat Institute is proud to present a compelling debate on the following question: Is ‘Net Zero by 2050’ both achievable and necessary to address climate change? Featuring Roger Pielke Jr., Professor of Environmental Studies at University of Colorado, Boulder and Steven Koonin, Ph.D., Author of Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn’t, and Why It Matters; Former Undersecretary for Science at the U.S. Department of Energy in the Obama Administration.

The debate will be held on Wednesday, November 1st at 5:30 PM in-person at the Carolina Union Auditorium. Provost Chris Clemens will moderate the debate.

The debate is co-sponsored by UNC’s Program for Public Discourse, the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, and Carolina Liberty Foundation. Registration is free and all are welcome!
