SUMMARY:Three Minute Thesis
DESCRIPTION:The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an academic competition in w
 hich participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and signi
 ficance of their research project to a non-specialist audience. It is desi
 gned to assist current graduate students with fostering effective presenta
 tion and communication skills. \n\n3MT was developed by The University of 
 Queensland in 2008\, and is now held in more than 900 universities in 85 c
 ountries around the world.\n\nMaster’s degree and doctoral students enro
 lled at UNC-Chapel Hill from any discipline administered by The Graduate S
 chool are welcome to register and participate in the competition.\n\nThis 
 event is the final round of the competition. \n\nThe winner will receive a
  $1000 prize and the opportunity to represent UNC Chapel Hill at the 3MT c
 ompetition in Greenville\, SC\, March 13-15\, 2024 as part of the Conferen
 ce of Southern Graduate Schools annual conference.\n\nThis is an in-person
