SUMMARY:Renewable Energy Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:To achieve a more sustainable planet\, radical efforts are need
 ed to provide alternative energy sources to address increasing global ener
 gy consumption. A future that includes and relies on renewable energy is a
  multi-faceted endeavor\, and researchers at Carolina are tackling this br
 oad and complex topic in many different ways.\n\nThe 2023 Renewable Energy
  Research Symposium will be a half-day symposium that features 3 UNC profe
 ssors who will lead discussions on renewable energy from the perspectives 
 of solar to chemicals research\, renewable energy’s impact on human and 
 societal health\, and the business and industry of renewable energy. This 
 will be followed by a poster session featuring students and postdoctoral r
 esearchers from across the University showcasing their efforts to address 
 the growing demands of renewables for an improved energy future. \n\nSpeak
 ers include: \n\n Prof. Alexander Miller\, Chemistry Department and Direct
 or of Sustainable Energy Research Consortium\n Prof. Noah Kittner\, Depart
 ment of Environmental Sciences and Engineering in the Gillings School of G
