 s some of the collaborative work he and his team did early in the COVID-19
  Pandemic—this work resulted in 1 FDA-cleared mask\, 2 patents\, 2 licen
 ses and a startup company. The work highlights the efforts of an incredibl
 e team across 2 universities and multiple departments solving (nearly) imp
 ossible challenges on tight timelines to help frontline healthcare workers
  and members of the community.
