 ce of Sponsored Programs\n\nLearn about Carolina's more than 140 core faci
 lities that offer a range of resources to the research community\, includi
 ng cutting-edge technologies\, high-end instrumentation\, technical suppor
 t\, and education. Administered by various schools\, units\, and departmen
 ts across campus\, they serve a variety of disciplines\, enabling research
 ers to investigate and innovate in ways that wouldn’t be possible within
  the scope of their individual labs or projects.\n\nPanelists\n\nModerator
 : Ben Wright\, Director of Research Core Development\, Office of Sponsored
  Programs\nBen has over six years of experience at the Office of Sponsored
  Programs as the point of contact for internal and external audits of spon
 sored projects and manager of the pre-audit\, subrecipient monitoring\, an
 d post-audit functions. Ben has led UNC through multiple Statewide Single 
 Audits\, and numerous other audits of sponsored projects\, and has been in
 volved in business process\, policy\, and internal control improvements.\n
 \n\n\nPablo Ariel\, Director\, Microscopy Services Laboratory\; Pathology 
 and Laboratory Medicine\nPablo has PhD in Biological Sciences from Rockefe
 ller University. He has been using microscopes since 2005\, and teaching o
 ther researchers how to use them in core facilities since 2014. He has ext
 ensive experience with fluorescence microscopy\, confocal\, light-sheet\, 
 imaging of live samples\, and image analysis using FIJI and Imaris. Pablo 
 takes the lead for trainings and consultations on projects using light mic
 roscopy and image analysis.\n\n\n\nBrandie Ehrmann\, Director\, Mass Spect
 rometry Core Laboratory\; Chemistry\nBrandie is the Mass Spectrometry Core
  Laboratory Director\; she trains and teaches graduate students\, post-doc
 s\, etc in how to properly utilize mass spectrometry in their research. Sh
 e does core budget management and finance\, grant writing\, and collaborat
 ion with faculty across UNC.\n\n\n\nMeghan Kraft\, Interim Director\, Rese
 arch Core Strategy\; Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research\nMeghan ha
 s over eight years of experience at UNC working with clinical and research
  operations across campus. Most recently\, she spent three years with the 
 Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) supporting both financially 
 and operationally their core portfolio. She also worked closely with the S
 chool of Medicine (SOM) on broader initiatives and will continue to suppor
 t LCCC and SOM.
