SUMMARY:Innovation in the Changing Technology Landscape
DESCRIPTION:With data produced at unprecedented rates\, every sector of soc
 iety is grappling with the challenges brought forth by the rapidly changin
 g climate of ‘big data.’ Researchers at the Renaissance Computing Inst
 itute (RENCI) are committed to tackling these challenges and transforming 
 data into discoveries across research domains. Join us for a webinar to le
 arn more about how RENCI researchers are addressing changing climates in e
 nvironment\, health\, and networking research. \n\n\nThe agenda for the we
 binar is as follows:\n	Director\, Ashok Krishnamurthy\, will kick off with
  an overview of RENCI.\n	Brian Blanton\, Director of Earth Data Science\, 
 will introduce a project focused on an infrastructure for computing\, visu
 alizing\, and disseminating realtime coastal water level and wave predicti
 ons from tropical and extratropical weather systems\, leveraging container
 s\, workflow managers\, and cloud resources.\n 	Suparna Goswami\, Senior R
 esearch Scientist\, will introduce Dug\, a powerful semantic search tool t
 hat allows researchers to identify novel and serendipitous connections bet
 ween studies\, datasets\, and variables that could be related to each othe
 r. \n 	Paul Ruth\, Assistant Director of the Network Research & Infrastruc
 ture Group\, will provide an overview of the NSF FABRIC project\, which is
  focused on building and prototyping ideas for the future internet at scal
 e.\n 	The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session moderated by Hanna
 h Hawkins. Note: the webinar will be recorded and made available for later
