DESCRIPTION:The Center for Galapagos Studies will kick off University Resea
 rch Week with a Q&A on our seed grant program at 3 p.m. in Toy Lounge\, lo
 cated in Dey Hall\, where participants will be able to hear from UNC resea
 rchers currently conducting projects in the Galapagos.\n\nSeed grants supp
 ort UNC faculty as they undertake preliminary and/or exploratory research 
 in the Galapagos Islands. These awards are designed to foster the developm
 ent of research partnerships and projects in Galapagos\, with a focus on t
 he Galapagos Science Center. We are seeking applications from across the u
 niversity\; preference will be given to applications from junior faculty a
