DESCRIPTION:There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to engaging patient\, 
 community\, or other partners in your research. Rather\, there are a varie
 ty of engagement methods to suit your study's needs\, your research team's
  capacity\, and your partners' interests.\n\nThis NC TraCS online training
  will describe three common approaches for working with patient\, communit
 y\, and other partners in your research:\n\n consultative community feedba
 ck sessions\n advisory boards\n sustained collaboration with partners as m
 embers of the research team.\n\n\nThe session will cover considerations fo
 r choosing these specific engagement methods\, as well as concrete process
 es and steps for implementing each approach. Participation in our Engageme
 nt in Research 101 training is not required to attend this session\; howev
 er\, some knowledge of engagement\, whether from prior training(s) or pers
 onal experience\, may foster deeper understanding of the material in this

  register for the entire series OR any single training session. Part 1\, 
 Engagement in Research 101\, will be held on Wednesday\, October 18 from 1
 0am-12pm ET. Part 3\, Strengthening Engagement\, will be held on Wednesda
 y\, November 1 from 10am-12pm ET.\n\nThose who are in the process of devel
 oping\, implementing\, or revising a patient and/or community engagement p
 lan for an active or upcoming project may be interested in attending our 
 Engagement in Research Interactive Workshop on Wednesday\, November 15 fr
 om 10 am-12pm ET\, during which participants will have the opportunity to 
 ask questions and seek feedback on their engagement plans in a small group
