SUMMARY:Art in Science
DESCRIPTION:Throughout Research Week\, images submitted by this year’s wi
nners of the School of Medicine Art in Science Competition will be on disp
lay in the first floor lobby of Bondurant Hall.\n\nWinners to be announced
soon.\n\nThis is an in-person event.\n\nDisplay image description: “Cra
cking the Secret Stem Cell Highways Behind Alzheimer’s Disease” was su
bmitted by Chih-Hsuan Hsu and Dr. Sarah Cohen from the Department of Cell
Biology and Physiology. One of the winners of the 2025 Art in Science comp
etition. This confocal image reveals the intricate microtubule network wit
hin human induced pluripotent stem cells carrying the APOE4 variant\, a ma
jor genetic risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Immunostaini
ng highlights the “tubulin code” with magenta\, cyan\, green\, and yel
